WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

As the Manager, Product Development you will be key player in bringing our modular building products to life. In this role, you will be hands-on in the fabrication of our new products and bringing your knowledge of construction and manufacturing to creatively solve issues in the build process and ensure new product offerings are completed on-time and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires experience in diverse technical fields and the ability to translate that expertise into pioneering prefabricated and modular construction methodologies. An adaptable personality and leadership skills will be required as this position evolves from prototyping into production and the future onboarding and management of the fabrication workforce.

Specifically, you will be:

• Sourcing of material suppliers and seeking out innovative new products to incorporate

• Assisting the Design Team is managing product costs and margins

• Helping to develop and refine the modular manufacturing and delivery process 

• Adapting the manufacturing process to upcoming modular product offerings

• Training and management of fabrication team members

• Scheduling and management of material orders and vendor deliveries 

• Maintaining an OSHA-compliant safe work environment 

This will be a salaried position based out of our Frederick, Maryland fabrication facility and reports to the Head of Product Development.  

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a hands-on technical, construction, or manufacturing role

• Minimum three (3) years of multi-project management experience

• Minimum two (2) years in a management or team leadership position

• Additional experience/knowledge desired: understanding of residential building process; non-standard roofing, siding, and water proofing; electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC; fire suppression systems; framing and carpentry skills
